AOYAMA GASSHUKU 2009

The Aoyama Gasshuku held in Ikaho, Japan last week was a huge success. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all 39 members and supporters who attended, and commend each and every member who trained for your committment, dedication and genuine Aussie spirit. All activities, in travel, training and socially, combined to meld us into a strong, harmonious team, supporting and encouraging one another throughout the week. This will be one Gasshuku each and every one of us will never forget for these reasons. Only 2 months since our name change, the future for TSKFA looks very bright and promising with the support we have both in Australia and in Japan.

I would like to especially thank Takahashi Shihan for providing such fantastic instruction and his assistance in organizing the week, and also we extend our thanks to the Aoyama University for allowing our team to attend the Gasshuku and Senseis Kobayashi, Aragaki and all the members of the Aoyama Old Boys for their instruction and assistance during the week. Below is a more detailed report from Ben Skennar outlining the week that was, and also check out the report on the TSKF South Australia website from Paul Brown.

Yours in Karate
