Brisbane Training & Grading

Takahashi Shihan commenced his first trip into Australia for 2010 on February 14 in Brisbane, conducting training and grading in Brisbane over a period of 4 days. Despite sweltering heat, members of the combined Brisbane clubs enjoyed the sessions, culminating with gradings. Click here to view photos from this seminar.

Black & Brown Belt Kata Seminar

On the weekend of 20 & 21 February, TSKF Queensland hosted a Black & Brown Belt Kata Seminar at the Childers Community Sports Stadium, also conducted by Takahashi Shihan. Karateka who attended were privileged to spend concentrated time on perfecting kata techniques, learning many of the higher katas including Tekki-Nidan, Gangaku, Kanu-Sho, Bassai-Dai, Bassai-Sho, Jitte, Chinte, Wankan and Meikyo. Special guest assistant instructor, and Deputy Chief Instructor of TSKF was Sensei Mark Willis from New Zealand. Click here to view photos from this seminar.

As Shihan continues on around Australia and New Zealand conducting his bi-annual training and gradings, members are now busily preparing for the Inaugural TSKFA National Championships to be held in Perth from March 22 - 27. We will be very pleased to welcome the TSKF New Zealand Senior Team and support staff to this event.
